DJ Benzi

DJ Benzi might have been born on a small island outside of Detroit, but the always-grinding, always-remixing, always-touring entrepreneur has carved a continent-sized niche for himself on the international DJ scene. From performing at MTV Spring Break in Panama City to gigs in Australia, Oslo, Berlin, Hawaii and more, Benzi has toured the globe while maintaining a steady output of critically acclaimed remixes and mixtapes. Of course, it doesn't hurt that he has worked with top-notch artists like Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and The Clipse (most notably on his groundbreaking "We Got the Refix" series). But Benzi is hardly a frontrunner, as he has helped launch the careers of budding superstars Mike Posner, Donnis, XV, and more.

After graduating from Western Michigan University, Benzi relocated to Ann Arbor to truly begin his ascent as an internationally recognized entertainer. His unique bridge of club culture and mainstream hip-hop has earned him accolades from XXL, Scratch, Rolling Stone, URB, The Washington Post, VH1, MTV, Detroit Metro Times and many more. It's also put him onstage next to artists as diverse as Diplo and The Cool Kids, Ke$ha and Mike Posner.

In January 2010, he signed with renowned booking agency Moodswing 360 in a move that further pushed Benzi from touring DJ into a brand of his own. He has worked hand-in-hand with varied corporations like Mountain Dew, Amp Energy, Red Bull, and 10deep, to craft unique events and barn-burner mixtapes. All this and he's still found time to craft his debut album, Get Right, which should be unleashed to the masses by Amalgam Digital sometime soon. It all adds up to a deafening buzz that can't be quieted by any ocean, never mind the Detroit River.
